 The fabric used is made of fine yarns twisted together to increase the density of the weave, so it is thinner than a duck of the same weight, but is more robust and dense, and is made of authentic army duck that faithfully reproduces the US Army duck standard of the time. To make it waterproof, it is paraffin-treated using a traditional technique that only one company in Japan can do, and it is prone to chalk marks (scratches) that are unique to waxing, but the more you use it, the softer it becomes, and the chalk marks become the character of the bag, making it a fabric that you will love very much.
